Appointed by HSBC Hong Kong and in concert with our sister company One Space, we created two seamless, high-resolution digital canvases, each one the largest such installation ever achieved in Hong Kong. Only by virtue of our combined expertise in audiovisual design and architecture were we able to transform a multimedia installation into, effectively, an animated architectural expression.
This fully bespoke solution entailed the judicious combination of highly-powered computing hardware and carefully assembled software, enabling the user to create an unprecedented journey through high-resolution images of the bank’s impressive archives.
The unique archival content required that, at the time of deployment, the display was the highest resolution wall (8,530 x 1,440 pixels) ever to be installed in Asia, requiring meticulous design, engineering and testing.
We rapidly moved from project briefing and requirements capture to a fully specified design within an extremely challenging timeline of 2 weeks.
A content production suite with a fully operational, scaled model of the story wall was designed and the associated workflow created to allow content to be continually added from HSBC’s archives by the existing corporate communications team.
The Principle One team took time to understand HSBC’s need for a user-friendly, automated system to control the content and undertook exhaustive research to source the best available.
